The Magnifier is made from a variety of materials which include; Oak from whisky casks sourced from the Glenturret Distillery, the oldest in Scotland; Red Deer antler, from the hills of Perthshire which surround us; Celtic Bog Oak, from ancient fallen forests - this wood can be thousands of years old; Vintage Pen Blanks, discovered in Le Mans, France and last used to make pens in the 1930's and 1940's for the leading fountain pen manufacturers of the day; various exotic hardwoods including "Buckeye Burl,” a south American hardwood with exceptional colouring and grain; Turkish Walnut, normally favoured by gun stock makers for its ability to be worked finely; and finally, Thuya Bur, known for its exceptional grain pattern and colour.
